Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Shailer Park Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the educational program, ensuring that it aligns with the National Quality Framework and the YMCA's philosophy and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the educational program, working in collaboration with the Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator;
  • Ensure that the educational program meets the needs of all children, including those with special needs;
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders;
  • Mentor and support educators in the development and implementation of the educational program;
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program, making recommendations for improvement;
  • Ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements;
  • Undertake administrative tasks related to the educational program;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent qualification;
  • Experience in early childhood education and care, with a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and the YMCA's philosophy and policies;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team of educators;
  • A comprehensive understanding of child development, learning, and behavior;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and the school community;
