About the Company

Our client is a reputable electrical contractor based in North Strathfield, operating in the NSW region of Australia. They specialize in all aspects of the electrical industry and are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have estimating experience in the construction industry and a background in the electrical industry. This permanent role offers long-term career growth opportunities within a growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement tendering procedures in conjunction with senior management.
  • Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide reports of project estimates and budgets.
  • Meet client deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Liaise with clients and internal project teams.
  • Leverage existing contacts and build new relationships.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in the electrical contracting Industry.
  • An electrical background is essential.
  • First principle estimating experience.
  • Experience estimating projects up to and more than $5M.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, working efficiently and independently.
  • Ability to consult with clients regarding tenders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Australian Standards and Building Codes.

Compensation Package:

Attractive salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum + benefits. Benefits include attractive salary, work-life balance, no weekend work, ongoing career development, and positive team culture and supportive management.
