We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our community development initiatives.
Located on the Mid North Coast of NSW, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in a region known for its genuine hospitality and natural beauty.
About Your New RoleAs a Community Development Manager, you will be responsible for creating conditions that enable effective community development initiatives. You will work closely with community groups and government organisations to empower change and drive positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement asset-based community development strategies to meet community needs.
- Establish partnerships with other Government and non-government organisations to achieve common goals.
- Lead programs and services that promote community capacity building, placemaking, and disaster preparedness and recovery.
- Identify and pursue grant funding opportunities and ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Develop and implement plans that consider the overall operations of our organisation.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Significant experience in asset-based community development.
- Excellent project and event management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver programs for diverse communities.
- Leadership and staff management skills, including the ability to manage teams and build partnerships.
- Desirable: tertiary qualifications in Community Services or related fields.
