We are seeking a Community Development Leader to lead our dedicated and energetic team, applying asset-based community development strategies to work in partnership with community groups and government organisations.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement community development initiatives that reflect community priorities and support Council objectives.
- Establish partnerships with other Government and non-government organisations to enhance community development programs.
- Lead the development and implementation of key strategic plans, including Arts and Culture Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan and Disability Inclusion Action Plan.
- Pursue grant funding opportunities to increase services delivered to the community.
- Proven experience in asset-based community development and project management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and deliver programs positively impacting a culturally diverse community.
- Leadership and management experience, with tertiary qualification in Community Services or related discipline (desirable).
