Job Title: Personal Care Specialist

As a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents. Our community values integrity, independence, and choice, and we are seeking an individual who shares these values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times, ensuring a professional manner when interacting with residents, their representatives, and colleagues.
  • Provide residents with quality personal care including support with personal hygiene, mobility, dining, communication, and leisure and lifestyle activities.
  • Prioritise workload in consultation with RN/EN and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Administer medication within scope of practice – (must have successfully completed medication administration education).

'Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or similar Certificate III or higher qualification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid and current Police Certificate.
  • COVID-19 vaccinations x 2 and current flu vaccination highly recommended.
  • Experience in person-centered support and a willingness to undertake ongoing training.
  • Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and skills in contemporary aged care services.
  • An understanding of infection control, WHS, and safe work practices.
