Job Opportunity

This role offers policy and project management support services across Victoria, reporting into a Senior Policy and Project Officer. The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused critical thinker who can develop and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relevant project documentation, including Project Management Plans, status reports, high-quality briefings, reports, and submissions for diverse audiences.
  • Review, analyse, and interpret recommendations from inquiries and legal policies to provide accurate and strategic policy advice to stakeholders.
  • Organise project-related meetings and workshops, and develop and maintain lessons management tools, processes, and data.
  • Support the organisation's continuous improvement approach through the development and implementation of policy projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new, emerging, and current strategic issues and opportunities relating to policy reform and emergency management reform environment.

About You:

  • You will have experience delivering complex projects within short timeframes.
  • You will possess strong attention to detail and be able to prepare high-quality, accurate, and detailed documents, reports, and correspondence for senior stakeholders.
  • You will have demonstrated understanding of the project lifecycle and project methodologies.
  • Experience supporting policy reform or projects within the public sector is desirable.
  • You will have strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
