Arbor Tree Care Specialist

This role involves all aspects of tree work, including pruning and removals. As a skilled professional in this field, you will participate in safe and efficient completion of these tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Operating various equipment such as bucket trucks, chippers, pole saws, and chainsaws.
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Felling and rigging trees with precision and accuracy.
  • Loading equipment on the truck, ensuring it is well maintained and accounted for, along with checking fuel and fluids.
  • Participating in job briefing and assisting the crew leader in setting up the work zone and utilizing safety personal protective equipment.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and communicating with clients about services offered.
  • Communicating effectively with team members through verbal and visual means.
  • Cleaning up debris at the end of each job.
Qualifications
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Holds a valid driver's license and possesses a class C driver's license.
  • A CDL class A or class B License with airbrake endorsement is preferred but not required.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Minimum 2-3 year experience in rope and saddle climbing with knowledge of various knots used in roping and technical rigging.
  • Basic knowledge of proper tree pruning and removal techniques.
  • Able to work safely at heights above 10 feet.
  • Able to perform labor-intensive outdoor work under varying weather conditions.
  • Able to navigate uneven terrain, stand, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and lift over 50 pounds regularly.
  • Experience operating bucket or claw trucks is preferred.
  • Cabling and bracing skills are also preferred.
