The Role

We're seeking a Pricing and Analytics Specialist to play a pivotal role in assessing, analysing, and optimising our pricing strategy to deliver our key strategic goals in growth and profitability. This will involve regular and ad hoc work maintaining and delivering our core pricing models, as well as gathering and analysing inputs into that model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and Delivering Pricing Models: You'll keep our core pricing models finely tuned, delivering accurate outputs for budgeting, regular reporting, and any special commercial initiatives that arise.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilise data analysis, and market trends to assess pricing opportunities, identifying potential issues, and providing recommendations to the management for pricing strategies.
  • Control Reporting: Develop and implement robust control reporting mechanisms to ensure our business adheres to Bluestone's pricing policies, maintaining integrity and consistency across the board.
  • Collaborative Development: Work closely with our Data team to define requirements for reporting and ad hoc analysis, leveraging data to drive informed decisions and actionable insights.
  • Business Case Development: Assist in crafting compelling business cases for product and pricing changes, drawing on your analytical skills and market knowledge to support strategic decision-making.
  • Customer and Market Analysis: Dive deep into customer behaviour, as well as the effectiveness of our marketing and sales efforts, to uncover valuable insights that shape our pricing strategy and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience in financial modelling, ideally in a financial services environment
  • Proven experience in pricing analysis and strategy development
  • Experience in business case development
  • Advanced Excel skills (proficiency in VBA is also beneficial but not mandatory)
  • Proficiency in analysis tools or software (e.g., SQL, SAS, R, Python, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
