Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a major infrastructure upgrade project in NSW.

The project aims to secure long-term water supply for communities in Central West NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
  • Track project finances, review costs vs. budget, and highlight margin impacts.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Ensure materials and services meet quality assurance requirements.
  • Develop inspection test plans (ITPs)/inspection test certificates (ITCs), monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
  • Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Review and implement comprehensive environmental management procedures before work begins.
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
  • 4+ years of project engineering experience in the construction industry, preferably in civil, utilities, and water infrastructure projects.
  • Effective communication and liaison skills with people at all levels and other stakeholders as required.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.
