Project Engineer - Utilities Position

This is a challenging opportunity to work on the landmark Water Security Project in NSW.

The project involves major infrastructure upgrades that will secure long-term water supply for communities in Central West NSW.

As a skilled and experienced project engineer, you will have the chance to lead the construction and upgrade of three pump stations across Nyngan and Hermidale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective construction methodologies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Track project finances and review costs vs. budget to minimize margin impacts.
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Ensure materials and services meet quality standards.
  • Develop inspection test plans, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
  • Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Review environmental procedures before work begins.
  • Maintain quality documentation and manage project closeout.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4+ years experience in project engineering, preferably in construction industry (civil, utilities, and water infrastructure projects desirable).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and other relevant applications.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug test.
