Research Scientist

The Australian Antarctic Program Partnership (AAPP) is a collaborative effort to deliver and lead the national Antarctic science program.

  • We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to contribute to the investigation of the Southern Ocean circulation and its changes in response to natural and anthropogenic forcing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality research of national and international standing, publish research findings, and contribute to supervision of students.
  • Maintain effective links with AAPP partners and collaborators.

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant area of science.
  • Excellent understanding of ocean dynamics and the ocean's role in climate.
  • High-level quantitative skills.
  • Good record of and commitment to research that has achieved national and international recognition.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive links nationally and internationally.
