Job Description

Our organisation is seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner Lead to provide strategic direction and take ownership of functionality across multiple products and systems.

This role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders to articulate the product vision and value delivered across various streams of work.

The key objectives of this role include:

  • Providing strategic direction and assisting senior stakeholders in articulating the product vision and value delivered.
  • Owning and managing multiple Product Backlogs to fit within agreed schedules and priorities.
  • Working closely with delivery teams to prioritise the Backlog, clarify requirements, and validate quality of deliverables.
  • Setting the direction and focus for continuous improvement initiatives and taking ownership where appropriate.

This role requires a strong background in complex projects or programs, with excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, as well as experience in Agile teams and Scrum frameworks.

As a Technical Product Owner Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and implementing product roadmaps that align with business objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and testing.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks, and developing contingency plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical product ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management tools and technologies.
