The company seeks a dedicated Health and Safety Professional to join their team at the Yatala Manufacturing site.

Opportunity Overview

The position provides technical health and safety advice to the business and is responsible for supporting the improvement and sustainability of site health and safety programs.

As a key member of the Operations team, you will be supporting the National Return-to-Work Framework and Site Health and Safety Plan by:

  • Maintenance of effective monitoring programs
  • Support for operational support staff, engineers, and shift employees with advice on health and safety issues
  • Ensure all legislative standards are included in the relevant components of the site health plan and activities
  • Provide input into the development, and assistance in the execution, of the site health plan

Responsibilities

  • Development and delivery of health and safety training
  • Support return-to-work initiatives

You will succeed if you have:

  • Sound experience in a similar HSE role in food manufacturing or mass production environment
  • Certificate IV in WHS or similar qualification
  • Great project management experience in driving the delivery of safety projects as required
  • Understanding of government safety requirements and industry standards
  • Able to facilitate safety training programs in small or large groups
  • Understanding of workers' compensation and injury management processes
  • A self-starter who has a collaborative approach to health and safety
