About the Role

As a Terminal Maintenance Tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing maintenance activities for weekly and long-term maintenance of the Dump Station, Stacker Reclaimers, Shiploaders, and ancillary equipment. You will work closely with the Supervisor Port Maintenance Execution at BMA Hay Point Terminal to ensure the safe achievement of department objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
  • Assist with any planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Provide trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance across all areas of Hay Point operations.
  • Work with your team to a high level of accountability and build proactive team relationships.
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on job progress.

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant trade qualification - Mechanical Fitter.
  • Proven maintenance experience in Fixed Plant maintenance.
  • Your active focus on safety, drive, and passion to improve will see you succeed in this role.
  • Your people and communication skills are of the utmost importance, as well as your relationship skills when liaising, negotiating, and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience with 1SAP will be beneficial.
  • The nature of the role requires you to be a forward thinker and focused on process discipline.

Desirable Qualifications and Skillsets

  • Proven commitment to looking after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way.
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Post-trade qualifications highly regarded.
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience with Fixed Plant or materials handling/processing.
