About the Role

As a Terminal Maintenance Tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing maintenance activities for weekly and long-term maintenance of the Dump Station, Stacker Reclaimers, Shiploaders, and ancillary equipment. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the safe achievement of department objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with and consistently follow safety procedures and standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with planned maintenance and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Provide trade skills to perform unplanned or breakdown maintenance across all areas of Hay Point operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve high levels of accountability and build proactive relationships.
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on job progress.

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant trade qualification - Mechanical Fitter.
  • Proven maintenance experience in Fixed Plant maintenance.
  • A strong focus on safety, drive, and passion to improve will see you succeed in this role.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience with 1SAP will be beneficial.
  • A background in planned maintenance teams with an overriding safety focus will be critical to your success in this position.

Desirable Qualifications and Skillsets

  • Proven commitment to looking after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way.
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Post-trade qualifications highly regarded.
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience with Fixed Plant or materials handling/processing.
