About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team at the Peak Downs Mine Site in Queensland. As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for conducting planned and breakdown maintenance and repairs on CAT 797 and 793 trucks, as well as other mobile equipment. You will work closely with our team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and breakdown maintenance and repairs on CAT 797 and 793 trucks and other mobile equipment
  • Carry out inspections and repairs on equipment as per maintenance strategies
  • Execute work orders as per schedule to a high standard
  • Scope and create 1SAP notifications for preventative work
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and working to a high degree of safety at all times

About You

  • Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter
  • Previous experience in mining, working on CAT 797 or 793 or T282
  • Team focused, with a high regard for safety in the workplace
  • Highly developed diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
