Job Summary

The Friendly Society Private Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Hospital Coordinator. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating services throughout the hospital, supporting team leaders, and facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate hospital services, ensuring quality and cost-effective care.
  • Support team leaders in their absence, overseeing hospital operations, patient flow, and indirect cost management.
  • Act as the primary contact for various stakeholders, including WBHHS, The Friendlies Emergency Department, and tertiary partners.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Post-registration clinical experience with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
  • Previous experience as a hospital coordinator or management experience with transferable skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and risk management principles.
  • Awareness of statutory requirements and ability to comply with hospital policies.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
