Job Title:

Project Management Specialist

Overview:

The ideal candidate will oversee the implementation of project management strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and community priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve the Council's Project Management Framework (PMF) to ensure strategic goals and community needs are met.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create guides, templates, and processes that support various project methodologies and stages.
  • Provide coaching and support to staff, manage change management strategies, and oversee project software for transparent reporting.
  • Monitor the delivery and performance of portfolio and project delivery, assessing initiative status, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • In consultation with internal stakeholders, develop and monitor the Council's capital and project portfolio, supporting broader organisational and financial plans.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project management within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Change management expertise, including strategy development and implementation.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in project management tools and software.
