Job Description

This is a leadership role for an experienced professional who will spearhead the development and execution of the City's premier events, sponsorships, and activations strategy.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering major events and sponsorships with strong stakeholder engagement skills. They will also have experience leading multidisciplinary teams with a focus on collaboration and innovation.

The City Events Strategy Director will be responsible for crafting and delivering an events strategy that attracts visitors, strengthens the local economy, and adds value to the community.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in events, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • Strong business acumen including strategic planning, budgeting, governance knowledge.
  • A passion for creating memorable moments and experiences.
  • An understanding of the City's values of Commitment, Teamwork, Courage, and Respect.
