Geriatric Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Mental Health Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide geriatric psychiatry consultation services to outpatient clinics, support for community health units, and consultations at Long Term Care Facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide geriatric psychiatry consultation services to Senior's Outpatient Clinic (SOPC) at Royal Jubilee Hospital
- Support for Esquimalt Westshore Health Unit (EWHU)
- Consultation services at multiple Long Term Care Facilities
- Opportunities to provide Telehealth consultation to other island communities
- Mandatory eligibility for membership of Canadian Association of Geriatric Psychiatry
- Experience in collaborative multidisciplinary community Psychogeriatric care required
- Subspecialty qualification in Geriatric Psychiatry - obtained or to be obtained
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC), Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License, Provisional Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Mandatory, Eligible.
