Geriatric Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a Geriatric Mental Health Specialist to join our team and provide consultation services to outpatient clinics and long-term care facilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Eligible for membership of the Canadian Association of Geriatric Psychiatry
- Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary community Psychogeriatric care required
- Subspecialty qualification in Geriatric Psychiatry – obtained or to be obtained
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in research, training of medical students and residents, and applying for a clinical appointment. They will also enjoy collegial relationships with geriatric medicine, adult psychiatry, and hospitalist services.
Other OpportunitiesIn addition to providing geriatric psychiatry consultation services, the successful candidate may also have opportunities to provide Telehealth consultation to other island communities and participate in departmental, clinical, and operational team meetings.
