We are seeking a skilled Clinical Counsellor to join our clinical team in Sydney, Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified counsellor to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide emotional support through telephone and video sessions.

About the Role

The Clinical Counsellor will be responsible for providing short-term counselling services, crisis management, and support to individuals facing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with clients of all ages and cultures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide single session telephonic and video counselling to clients.
  • Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling.
  • Manage high-risk calls and work closely with individuals at risk.
  • Refer clients to external resources or within the organization as part of a holistic approach.
  • Develop clear treatment plans for clients in collaboration with clinical management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct client-contact experience providing counselling or mental health services.
  • Registration with ACA/PACFA (counsellors).
  • Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counselling.
  • Training in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients is beneficial.
