Job Opportunity: Recovery Coach
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional to provide face-to-face services to individuals with psychosocial disabilities. This role focuses on capacity-building, recovery planning, and strengthening an individual's ability to manage their supports and live well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with individuals through regular sessions
- Support individuals to understand and implement their plan
- Co-develop personalized, recovery-oriented goals and plans
- Identify and build on an individual's strengths, interests, and aspirations
- Assist with accessing services, supports, and community resources
- Collaborate (with consent) with clinicians, carers, and other service providers
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in line with standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualification in Mental Health, Peer Work, Social Work, Community Services or similar (minimum Certificate IV)
- Lived or learned experience in mental health recovery (highly valued)
- Understanding of psychosocial disability and recovery-oriented practice
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
