Job Title: Mental Health Nurse Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated mental health nurse to join our dynamic workforce at St George MHS. As a mental health nurse, you will be working in a supportive environment providing compassionate care to consumers in need.

About the Role:
  • This is a temporary full-time position until 2026.
  • You will be employed on a 38 hour per week roster.
  • The successful candidate will have current registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team and applying professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.

The ideal candidate will have high level written and verbal communication skills, experience in delivering high quality patient care in mental health at a post graduate level, and basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing emergency care to those in need and strongly focused on recovery based care.
  • Working in a supportive environment to provide compassionate care to consumers in need.
  • Delivering high quality patient care in mental health at a post graduate level.
  • Applying professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
Selection Criteria:
  • Current registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
