The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team, supporting the Head of Finance and the Group Tax team. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide taxation advice to our Group Markets and Management, ensuring compliance with all direct and indirect tax legislation impacting our companies across the Goodman Fielder Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide taxation advice to the Goodman Fielder Group Markets and Management
- Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax legislation impacting companies across the Goodman Fielder Group
- Keep updated on tax law changes, suggesting adjustments
- Identify process improvement and tech integration opportunities
- Build strong cross-departmental relationships with key stakeholders
- Foster a high-performance culture to coach and develop key talent within the Group Tax Team
- Oversee tax reporting, compliance, managing audits
- Provide technical tax advice on transactions, HR matters
- Monitor tax law changes, prepare impact assessments
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified Chartered, Tax professional with a wealth of experience. Your skillsets and experiences should include:
- CA or CPA qualified
- Proficiency in accounting principles with proven experience in corporate taxation and income tax principles
- Ability to apply technical knowledge commercially
- Proven leadership experience and a passion to coach and develop your team
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, assertive and confident
