Role Overview

The Operations Efficiency Manager – Retail Property will be responsible for the management of utilities and the efficient performance and lifecycle management of assets in their retail portfolio.

This role involves managing utilities contracts, including internal and external stakeholder relationship management, load and forecast management, connection register roll-ins/outs, network tariff reviews, demand management, and bill validation.

  • Managing utilities contracts (electricity and gas), including internal and external stakeholder relationship management, load and forecast management, connection register roll-ins/outs, network tariff reviews, demand management, and bill validation.
  • Acting as the relationship manager for retail with utility providers and consultants.
  • Managing compliance and operations of embedded networks, including embedded network managers and operators, metering providers, tenant rates, load registers.
  • Assisting asset teams with setting budgets and exploring opportunities for profit increase.
  • Maintaining current and forecast load profile data at asset and portfolio level for ongoing management of the power purchase agreement.
  • Providing technical and engineering support and advice to regional asset teams as the Retail division Electric Vehicle Representative.
  • Contributing to Sustainable Asset Strategies by preparing business cases for targeted efficiency or sustainability projects, ensuring alignment with environmental, social, and governance strategy, strategic asset plans, and return on investment.
  • Driving adoption of external government funding opportunities.
  • Assisting National Operations Manager Retail with procurement, generation, and surrender of large generation certificates, energy saving certificates, peak demand reduction certificates, Victorian energy efficiency certificates, and Australian carbon credit units.
  • Managing 10-year lifecycle planning to optimize capital expenditure and operational expenditure.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to prepare the national initiative budget as part of annual and cyclical budget planning cycles.
