
Pathology Specialist

We are seeking a Pathology Collector to provide pathology services in Cairns. The position is part-time or casual.
The primary responsibilities of this role include collecting blood and other specimens from patients, performing 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, and operating Holter monitors.
This position requires venepuncture experience using the vacutainer method, as well as skills in specimen collection and processing. Additionally, experience with ABP and Holter monitors is preferred but not essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Venepuncture experience using vacutainer methods
- Specimen collection and processing
- Ability to work independently and participate in weekend rosters
- Clerical duties and processing paperwork
- Current driver's license and own vehicle
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to patient care and service delivery
- Organisation and problem-solving skills
- Prioritisation and time management under pressure
- Basic computer skills
- Compliance with Work Health and Safety policies
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Working With Children Blue Card
