Healthcare Specialist in Aboriginal Communities

The Northern Territory Remote Locum Program is an initiative that aims to strengthen healthcare services in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the Northern Territory.
We are seeking a skilled Registered Midwife/RN to provide culturally safe, high-quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.
This locum-based role offers short-term placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote clinics. Travel and accommodation will be covered by us.
Cultural Orientation and Support
- Cultural orientation to help you transition into remote healthcare.
- 24/7 support for any challenges or concerns.
Your Skills and Experience
- Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery.
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current recognised Immunisation certificate.
- Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willing to obtain).
