Job Title: Senior Academic Leader English

This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing January 2026 up until January 2027 with possible extension.

The Role Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Academic Leader to provide leadership in the development and review of curriculum, assessment, and standards support materials for Years 7–10.
  • The successful candidate will oversee processes and deliverables associated with adopting and/or adapting the Australian Curriculum Version for English Education (Years 7–10).

We welcome applications from Secondary English teachers with strong curriculum expertise.

Candidates should be familiar with the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline, with recent Years 7–10 teaching experience considered highly desirable.

In this role, you will coordinate, facilitate, and organise materials for staff across schools, regions, professional associations, and education sectors.

Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, strong time management, and organisational abilities, as well as the capacity to develop documents collaboratively within internal timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Degree in English or related field
  • Secondary English teaching experience, preferably with recent years 7-10 teaching experience
