Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an accomplished leader to head our Academic Department.

The Role: You will lead the development and implementation of academic programs, oversee departmental management, ensure quality assurance, provide training and development for the academic team, and manage the day-to-day activities of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective academic strategies to meet student needs
  • Lead from the front and teach as required
  • Set the direction of the Academic department, ensuring objectives are met and staff supported
  • Develop new academic content and lead professional development sessions
  • Line manage the Academic team, including senior teachers, contract teachers, and interns
  • Timetable students, teachers, courses, and classrooms to meet student needs
  • Correspond with global teams
  • Ensure academic compliance with school accreditation and policies
  • Manage the delivery of high-quality academic services
  • Work towards whole school goals and targets for KPIs and student satisfaction
  • Responsible for quality assurance of all academic matters

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Master's degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field, or DELTA certified
  • Experience teaching English as a foreign language to international students
  • Academic management experience preferred
  • Highly motivated, energetic, positive, and flexible
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
