Australian Super is seeking an experienced Application Engineering Manager to lead a focused team of Application Engineers in developing internal, business-facing applications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in application development and engineering, with experience in leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead collaboration with stakeholders, business users, and citizen developers to develop quality solutions aligned to target architecture and best practices.
  • Oversee a managed program of activity and sprint plan to ensure the rapid deployment, testing, and continuous improvement of engineered applications.
  • Lead workshops and learning activities to build application engineering capability across the team, groups, and domains.
  • Motivate and inspire the team and suppliers by demonstrating commitment to Australian Super's values and leadership principles.
  • Hire and develop a high-performing, diverse, and engaged team who will support the successful delivery of Australian Super's strategic ambitions.
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years of technology experience.
  • 5+ years of application development experience.
  • 2+ years of leading an application team is mandatory.
  • Experience working on projects in financial institutions or other regulated environments is highly desirable.
