Catholic Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nursing Professional to join our team at St Joseph's in Coffs Harbour. As a Healthcare Specialist, you will provide high-quality clinical care to residents in our residential aged care home.
About the Role
- Provide direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures.
- Act as a Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team.
- Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues, and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care to residents, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Provide education and training to staff members on best practices and new procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
- A current AHPRA registration following completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or similar.
- A thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues.
- Strong coaching/training skills.
- Effective conflict resolution skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Competent IT skills.
- Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
