Ecologist Position for Ecological Consulting

We are seeking passionate and motivated Field Ecologists to join our NSW ecology team, who are looking to start or progress their career in ecological consulting. Our ideal candidate is a graduate with some prior experience in conducting ecological field work, who is eager to develop their technical skills in vegetation and flora identification and targeted species surveys.

The successful applicant will have a strong desire to work flexible hours and travel for ecological fieldwork, including possible trips of extended duration in rural or remote regions. They should also possess a demonstrated passion for flora and/or fauna, as well as experience in undertaking ecological surveys.

About you:

  • A degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, botany, zoology, or a similar field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional team as well as autonomously.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including peers, clients, and government agencies.
  • Capability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members.
  • Experience in GIS and electronic data capture.
  • Appreciation of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) matters.
