Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our Newcastle team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing ecological projects, developing and implementing biodiversity offset strategies, and providing expert advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ecological project plans, including survey and assessment programs
  • Manage and coordinate field teams for ecological surveys and assessments
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders
  • Prepare and review reports, including ecological assessments and biodiversity offset plans
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality project outcomes
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in ecological project management and biodiversity assessments
  • Accreditation or experience under the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
