Job Overview

Our organization relies on a diverse range of subcontractors to deliver essential services and components for our programs.

The Subcontracts team plays a critical role in managing these relationships, working closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Legal to ensure timely delivery and compliance with business policies and standards.

  • Lead the end-to-end subcontracting process from pre-award through post-award administration.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure subcontracts comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the creation, negotiation, and execution of subcontracts in alignment with organizational policies, legal requirements, and project needs;
  • Manage post-award subcontract performance against KPIs, timelines, and contractual obligations;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers/vendors;
  • Advocate for change, provide clarity on expectations, and proactively address performance risks;
  • Conduct risk assessments on subcontractor performance;
  • Work closely with project managers, legal, finance, and other departments to ensure effective integration of subcontracting activities into overall project plans;
  • Lead subcontract negotiations, including terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules;
  • Provide regular status updates to senior management on subcontract performance, risks, and issues; and
  • Develop and improve subcontracting processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead subcontracting activities from initiation to completion.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contract creation, negotiation, and execution.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers/vendors.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments on subcontractor performance and address performance risks.
  • Communication: Provide regular status updates to senior management on subcontract performance, risks, and issues.
