We are seeking highly skilled trades professionals to join our team in Weipa, Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to work in a remote yet vibrant community with a high standard of living.
Job SummaryWe are looking for experienced Fitter/Machinists, Fixed Plant Fitters, and Heavy Mobile Equipment Diesel Fitters to carry out component rebuilds and repairs on our fixed and mobile plant assets.
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our plant equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working collaboratively with your colleagues to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out component rebuilds and repairs on fixed and mobile plant assets
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and safety
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and problem-solving
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A trade qualification relevant to the role you are applying for (e.g., Fitting, Machining)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a mining or heavy industry environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
- A valid C-class driver's license
- A competitive salary package reflective of your skills and experience ($120,000 - $150,000 per annum)
