We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Weipa, a beautiful coastal town in Far North Queensland.

This is a permanent role with a competitive base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus annual bonuses and benefits. The position offers a unique opportunity to live in a stunning coastal environment while working for a leading global mining company, Rio Tinto.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment at our Weipa Operations, including bauxite mines, processing facilities, and other infrastructure.

You will work in a safe and reliable condition, ensuring the continued operation of our assets. This includes performing routine maintenance, attending breakdowns, and carrying out improvement works.

• Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment
• Execution of planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance
• Troubleshooting, calibrating, repair, and service of fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets
• Working at heights activities
• Working autonomously, being reliable, and positively contributing to the maintenance team

• A commitment to safety and reliability
• A manual C class driver's license
• A trade qualification – Queensland Electrical Trades Licence (or equivalent with the ability to acquire the Queensland licence)
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• The ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
