Lead Kitchen Operations

Compass Group delivers multi-service capability to major companies and organizations operating in remote sites. Our team provides vital workplace support for individuals working in isolated environments around the world.

You will work on a regional mine site village in NSW, overseeing all kitchen operations and managing a team of chefs and dining room staff.

  • Supervise daily breakfast, crib & dinner service
  • Mentor and manage a team of chefs, kitchen hands & dining room staff
  • Oversee stock control, ordering & food safety compliance
  • Prepare high-quality meals while ensuring OH&S compliance and adhering to safe work practices & procedures.

We seek an experienced leader with a background as a head chef or sous chef in mining or remote settings, boasting excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Cert III in Commercial Cookery - Minimum
  • Proven experience in menu writing, stock control, budgets, rostering, staff mentoring, training &liaising with clients
  • Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures & operations
  • A proactive leader who is professional, positive, supportive, & motivated with experience in training, and developing a team of hospitality professionals
