Role Overview

We are on the lookout for skilled Telecommunication Riggers to enhance our vibrant team across Australia. As a vital contributor reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team in the setup, upkeep, and repair of external telecommunications systems.

This role spans across various regions, offering the chance to work at heights while adhering to client specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Managing site operations and providing team leadership.
  • Executing installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications apparatus, including pole and tower frameworks, mounting structures, RRU's, antennas, feeders, and hybrids on towers and rooftops, as well as cable termination and earthing installation in line with client requirements.
  • Working at elevated positions while ensuring compliance with client specifications and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with VHA/TPG specifications, standards, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Interpreting technical design documents and implementing installations according to design.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
  • Handling equipment from Telstra, VHA/TPG, and Optus (4G/5G).
  • Conducting maintenance, upgrades, and reinforcement of structures.
  • Performing testing with PIM Tester, Spectrum Analyzer, Sitemaster, Fibrescope, and light source on fiber cables.
  • Assisting Technicians with installation, troubleshooting, and equipment rectification.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in the Telecommunications sector.
  • Strong grasp of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) obligations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Possession of a Construction White Card.
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
  • Completed safety inductions for Telstra, Optus, and VHA/TPG.
  • RADHAZ Awareness.
