We are in search of skilled Telecommunications Riggers to become integral members of our vibrant team across Australia. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Field Supervisor and be responsible for leading a team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of external telecommunications infrastructure.
This position offers the chance to work at heights while ensuring compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Supervising site operations and leading the team.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including pole and tower structures, mounting frameworks, RRU's, antennas, feeders, and hybrids on towers and rooftops, along with cable terminations and earthing installations according to client specifications.
- Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines while working at heights.
- Familiarity with VHA/TPG specifications, standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Interpreting technical design documents for equipment installation.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
- Working with equipment from Telstra, VHA/TPG, and Optus (4G/5G).
- Conducting maintenance, upgrades, and structural enhancements.
- Performing testing using various tools such as PIM Tester, Spectrum Analyzer, Sitemaster, Fibrescope, and light source on fibre cables.
- Assisting technicians with installation, troubleshooting, and equipment rectification.
- Proven experience in the telecommunications sector.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety obligations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Possession of a Construction White Card.
- Valid Australian driver's license.
- Completion of safety inductions for Telstra, Optus, and VHA/TPG.
- RADHAZ Awareness.
