Role Overview

We are in search of skilled Telecommunications Riggers to become integral members of our vibrant team across Australia. As a key figure reporting to the Field Supervisor, you will guide a team in the setup, upkeep, and repair of external telecommunications systems.

This role encompasses opportunities across various regions, offering the chance to work at heights while adhering to stringent client specifications, standards, and safety protocols.

Core Responsibilities
  • Managing site operations and leading the team.
  • Executing installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications apparatus, including pole and tower frameworks, mounting structures, RRU's, antennas, feeders, and hybrids on towers and rooftops, as well as cable termination and labelling in accordance with client specifications.
  • Working at heights while ensuring compliance with client safety standards.
  • Familiarity with VHA/TPG specifications, standards, and HSE protocols.
  • Interpreting technical design documents and installing equipment per design specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
  • Working with Telstra, VHA/TPG, and Optus (4G/5G) systems.
  • Conducting maintenance, upgrades, and reinforcement of structures.
  • Performing testing with PIM Tester, Spectrum Analyzer, Sitemaster, Fibrescope, and light source on fibre cables.
  • Assisting Technicians in installation, troubleshooting, and rectification of equipment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum years of experience in the telecommunications sector.
  • Strong understanding of WHS obligations and responsibilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Possession of a Construction White Card.
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
  • Completed safety inductions for Telstra, Optus, and VHA/TPG.
  • RADHAZ Awareness.
