Hotel Relief Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable hotel relief manager to join our team at TFE Hotels.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hotel management, a passion for travel, and the ability to work independently with strong customer service skills.

  • Oversight of daily hotel operations, including all departments and team members.
  • Leading by example, jumping in to help on the front desk, processing reservations, and completing handy-work tasks as needed.
  • Empowering direct reports to manage their functions effectively, following the five practices of exemplary leadership (Kouzes and Posner's The Leadership Challenge).
  • On-call availability for any issues or crisis management, leading in managing critical incidents.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Daily operations and performance oversight, ensuring smooth running and exemplary guest service.
  2. Financial administration, including budgeting, forecasting, debtors management, and audits.
  3. Reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis across various departments, meeting deadlines from stakeholders or head office.
  4. Partnering with Sales, Revenue, and Marketing to build an annual business plan and monitor its revision based on hotel performance.
  5. Driving maximum Net RevPAR, outperforming market STR, and collaborating with the Regional Revenue Manager on revenue strategies.
