The Role:

This position offers a chance for Registered Nurses to advance their careers and specialize in midwifery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Postnatal ward coverage, including patient load management
  • Clinical assessment, planning, and advocacy for birthing people and their families throughout the childbearing journey
  • Supporting breastfeeding and mother-crafting initiatives
  • Collaborative working relationships with obstetrics, social work, Koori maternity services, perinatal mental health, and physio teams
  • Birth suite rotations, providing supernumerary clinical placement and labor support
