Job Overview

This position involves working as a Clinical Nurse specialising in Breast Care to provide advanced knowledge and skills to facilitate the continuity and quality of care for patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer and their families.

You will act as a key hospital resource for promoting best practice in the provision of patient care through clinical improvement initiatives and service innovation. This includes collaborating with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals including community nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying advanced knowledge and skills to facilitate the continuity and quality of care for patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer and their families.
  • Acting as a key hospital resource for promoting best practice in the provision of patient care through clinical improvement initiatives and service innovation.
  • Collaborating with oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals including community nurses.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration with a relevant Nursing Authority as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in Oncology and or surgical oncology.
  • Completion of a Certified Breast Care nurse course i.e. McGrath or equivalent or working towards.
  • Ability to act as a positive role model with excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, clinical problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
