Project Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to deliver projects that meet high quality, on time and safety standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cooperating with the design effort of a team to achieve satisfactory project performance. Detailed design, working with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design. Develop technical documents required for procurement. Commercial awareness to ensure economic and safe selection of equipment. Liaise with Project Controls personnel. Participation in Model Review, Design Review, HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews. Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooperate with the design effort of a team to achieve satisfactory project performance.
  • Develop detailed designs working with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance.
  • Ensure technical integrity of design through commercial awareness.
  • Liaise with Project Controls personnel for effective project management.
  • Participate in Model Reviews, Design Reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPS, and other relevant processes.
  • Provide expert advice during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Senior Design Engineer role within engineering contracting or consultancy organizations.
  • Australian experience in piping design including concept development, FEED, and detail design phases.
  • Experience in piping fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  • Extensive knowledge of 3D intelligent design and project delivery systems.
  • Application of brownfield experience and human factors in design.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
