Job Title:

Senior Piping Draftsperson

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced piping draftsperson to join our engineering consulting team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design of wet and dry mineral process plants and bulk material handling projects.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead piping design efforts for large-scale EPC projects from conception to completion
  • Produce models and detailed technical drawings, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
  • Communicate with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings
  • Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure designs are accurate, feasible and meet project requirements
  • Deliver and contribute to practical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members
  • Develop piping layouts and detailed drawings based on project requirements and specifications
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables in line with the relevant codes and standards, needs of the customer and regulatory authorities

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of multi-discipline experience in piping design and drafting within the EPC environment
  • Proficient in the design layout of mineral processing plants
  • Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering is desirable
  • Experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks or Inventor is desirable
  • Full and unrestricted Australian working rights required
