Support Worker Role

About the Position

You will be working within a residential setting, providing direct care and support to individuals with complex needs. Your key areas of focus include:

  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes emotional growth and development.
  • Fostering positive relationships between young people, their families, and the community.
  • Delivering trauma-informed care to support individuals who have experienced adversity.
Key Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent qualification.
  • Mandatory Top-Up Units Residential Care (4 Modules) completion.
  • A valid Australian full driver's licence.
  • Valid Australian working rights.
  • Willingsness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check.
  • Holding (or being willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications.
Skill and Experience Requirements

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Availability to work flexible shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers.
  • A passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability.
  • Resilience and commitment to delivering trauma-informed care.
