Role Overview

A Youth Care Specialist is required to provide therapeutic support and care for vulnerable young people in our Residential Care Program. This role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care.

\Responsibilities\
  • Implement current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.\
  • Serve as a positive role model, supporting young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.\
  • Create a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.\
  • Work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care and prioritize the best interests of the young person.
\Key Skills and Qualifications\
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.\
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask.\
  • Creative thinking and a non-judgmental approach to life.\
  • Driver's license (minimum green P's) is essential for transporting young people.\
  • Minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification is required.
