Job Title: Payroll Operations Specialist

This is a key role focused on delivering high-quality payroll services and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As the Payroll Operations Specialist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate payroll processes and procedures to ensure compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation.
  • Analyse complex data sets to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and Analytics teams to validate findings and ensure accuracy.
  • Document methodologies and audit trails to support transparency and compliance.
  • Support the development of remediation strategies and payment plans.
  • Provide recommendations to improve payroll processes and prevent future compliance issues.
  • Contribute to system and process implementation projects with a compliance lens.

The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of payroll operations and regulatory requirements, including a deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements. Proven experience in payroll compliance and data analysis is essential.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex compliance matters to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are also crucial for this role.
