Support Worker Job Description\Helpers to make a real difference in people’s lives.

As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to support individuals in their daily activities and provide them with the care and assistance they need. Your role will involve helping with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance. You will also be responsible for providing domestic assistance, including light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.">
  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance
  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, traveling to medical appointments
  • Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids, and other physical aids
  • Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
  • Overnight customer support and assistance 1-2 times a week

Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check/Yellow Card
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance)
  • Smartphone with internet access
